Flightray developed to provide single indicating instrument which give all necessary flight information in most easily interpreted manner; four pattern figures were adopted for indication on face of cathode tube; these are for altitude of airplane, long horizontal straight line or artificial horizon, that moves upward in dive and downward in climb and tilts at angle when banking, for direction, for position relative to flight path, and for air speed.
