Adverse effects of size and weight on general arrangement of airplane are of major importance, and use of propeller that is ideal may in many cases be out of question; several of major propeller design features that have bearing on this balance between airplane and propeller performance are considered; primarily problem involves propeller diameter, blade width, and number of blades.
