Results of experiments show that radio alone has not provided acceptable means of landing airplanes by instruments; if sufficient and proper type lighting were provided as companion to radio assistance now available, perhaps radio plus lights may equal safe landings; examples given of landing systems and lighting layout at Indianapolis and LaGuardia fields.
