Originally designed as bulk grain carrier for Cargill, Inc, of Minneapolis, and named "Carlantic," ship was sold before completion to Compania Argentina de Navegacion Mihanovich, Ltd, of Buenos Aires, converted into tanker and renamed "Victoria"; propelled by 2100-hp Fairbanks-Morse Diesel engine.
