Project of traffic surveillance on 3.2 mi long section of John C. Lodge Expressway uses closed circuit television, ultrasonic traffic sensors, electrically controlled speed and lane direction signals, electronic recording devices and analog computer; data collected will aid in predicting slowdowns and stoppages due to congestion, and indicate how to avoid them.
