Finch aerial tram is 5 mi long and transports rock from Washington magnesite pit to mill; tram operating at 500 fpm, has capacity of 70 tph of standard rock; it carries 215 buckets on 265-ft centers; loading terminal operator selects product to be loaded and automation completes job; buckets are unloaded automatically into either of 2-bins at discharge terminal, which is unattended; automation has reduced labor force from 6 to 1 man.
