Problems such as detonation, propagation of shock waves, electric discharges, etc, are being studied with various Soviet cameras, most extensive use being made of type SFR rotating mirror framing camera; application of stereo veiwing periscope to camera of this type permits recording of sequence of full frame stereo pairs at rates up to 1,250,000 pairs/sec; accurate quantitative space-time relations of events can be obtained in 3-dimension with aid of stereometer; stereo cine projection is also possible.
