Reference is made to matrix method published by B.Langefors, applied at SAAB for 10 yr in stress analysis of aircraft structures; method may be considered as systematization of principle of least work or Castigliano's theorems; matrix method requires 3 matrices with information about structure; V-matrix, representing flexibility of structure elements, C-matrix, containing equilibrium conditions, and DQ-matrix, having elements from any statically determinate system carrying loads; examples of application of method.
