Problems which exist in design of satellites in areas of structural and thermal design are associated with longterm effects of space environment and divided into temperature and pressure effects; structural and thermal design requirements are considered showing various test methods available to designer to provide check on his calculations; basic structure of S-27 satellite; satellite shape, instrument package design, and satellite temperature prediction.
