Radiation incident areas of orbiting satellite can be determined when motion and attitude of satellite are known; radiation from parent body about which satellite revolves, sun, and solar radiation reflected by parent body are computed as function of location of satellite in orbit; radiation emitted and reflected by parent body is determined by integrating incremental radiation over entire spherical cap seen by satellite.
