Problems associated with engine-node mode of vibration are almost invariably dealt with by crankshaft dampers and those associated with 1-node mode, i.e., engine, or engine and gearbox swinging against propeller, or engine swinging against gearbox and propeller, and 2-node mode, i.e., engine and propeller swinging against gearbox that are considered; procedure suggested for determining solution of problems is illustrated with diagrams.
