Results of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory study are presented to demonstrate adequacy of simple guidance scheme; use of system requires additional midcourse propellant in amount less than 1% of spacecraft weight; injection guidance problem consists of determining instantaneous position and velocity of vehicle and computing steering and thrust-termination commands to achieve desired and conditions; injection accuracy requirements; error source.
