Summary of progress in 1961; in world's existing tanker fleet, of total of 67,745,801 tons dw on July 1 1961, nearly 40% were motor ships; 2 turbine vessels, each of about 130,000 tons dw, have been ordered by Idemitsu Oil Co, from Sasebo H.I.Co and Ishikawajima Harima H.I.Co; tables of data show completed motor tankers with machinery of 15,000 bhp and over, completed steam tankers of 80,000 dwc and over, motor and steam tankers on order with machinery of 15,000 bhp and 20,000 shp and over respectively.
