Study carried out by Municipal Tramways Trust, Adelaide, using pressure and flow pattern existing around vehicle when it is in motion; methods by which these flow patterns can be made visible are described and results of visual observations by means of which most suitable air inlet and outlet positions are established; results of airflow measurements indicate that substantial increase in volume of air entering bus was achieved; design philosophy leading to optimum conditions.
