For satisfactory self-propelled combine operation, information operator requires from his machine is supplied by three types of signals -- early warning signals, failure warning signals, and process monitoring signals; proper operation requires adequate control of forward travel speed, reel speed, cylinder speed, and cleaning air flow to engine and combine, as well as monitoring of tailings recycle, product sample, and grain losses; types of signal systems, namely, power plant monitors, process machinery operation monitors, and product control monitors all of which are shown in tables; design of readout panel electrical system and sending unit systems available.
