Supersonic airliner Concorde cruises at Mach 2.2., equivalent to air speed of about 1450 mph and carries 140 passengers; Concorde has four entirely separate air conditioning generation systems; part of cabin discharge air is circulated around walls within insulation to assist in cabin cooling; remainder is used for cooling freight holds and equipment bays; pressurization control is maintained by pneumatically operated discharge valves which are electronically regulated; system provides normal maximum pressure differential of 10.7 psi, corresponding to cabin altitude of 6000 ft at actual altitude of 60, 000 ft.
