Study to outline methods for improvement of human survival in civilian aircraft emergencies; survival condition criteria, accident statistics and human tolerance limits have been surveyed; methods presented for aircraft occupant survival improvement fall into general areas of occupant protection through seat design and occupant restraint improvement to withstand impact accelerations which are applied to aircraft.
