Criteria are given for stabilizing motion of aircraft during maneuvers involving intense rolling; qualitative results obtained in analysis are illustrated by results of calculating aircraft dynamics on digital computers and simulators; attention is given to physical explanation of results obtained and to description of mechanics of aircraft motion in common cases of controlled flight; analysis is given of reasons and conditions for appearance of phenomenon of "inertial rotation" of aircraft involving losses in effective lateral control.
