Light twin-turboprop STOL transport under development by Israel Aircraft Industries will be capable of operating from short, rough airfields; robust, versatile aircraft has gross weight of 12,500 lb and is capable of carrying maximum payload of 2 tons or 20 passengers; it is designed to meet full structural and performance requirements of Federal Aviation Agency Regulations (FAR) Pt 23 as well as British Civil Airworthiness Requirements (BCAR) Section K; twin-boom arrangement and large circular fuselage will permit easy rear loading and accessibility of variety of mixed freight, including small agricultural, commercial or military vehicles; description, estimated performance, some early wind-tunnel results and important preliminary design considerations.
