Every year College of Aeronautics at Cranfield, Great Britain, conducts design project for postgraduates; for 1967-68 academic year project was tilt-wing executive aircraft, entitled E 67; moderate cruise speed of propeller turbine aircraft has been coupled with tilting wing to provide V/STOL capability; aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce Gnome H 1400 shaft turbines, driving two propellers of 16-ft diam through gearboxes and interconnecting cross shaft; design features of rear fuselage, main undercarriage, wing, flaps, tailplane, fin and rudder; various systems and flying controls.
