Growth of air freight industry in past few years and forecasts for future growth indicate large market for equipment designed specifically to handle commercial air freight; today's commercial carogo aircraft are configurations of aircraft designed for passenger market; parametric analysis of aircraft capabilities is required to arrive at balanced set of requirements and solutions; differences in sizing for passengers vs sizing for cargo, techniques used in parametric analysis, and range of capabilities with varying payload, range, and cargo density requirements are discussed.
