Tests made employing five small transparent Bakelite models of various wing rib designs subjected to loading condition similar to that occurring on wing in positive high angle of attack position; photographs of interference fringes, formed on image of model when stresses in polarized light, were interpreted in terms of stresses in models: results of tests.
