Results obtained with 30 locomotives built in 1937, led to purchase of 10 duplicate units; new locomotives built by Baldwin Locomotive Works; cylinders 26 by 32 in.; drivers have 74 in. diam; boiler diam 92 in.; steam pressure 285 lb; total engine and tender wheelbase 96 ft 1/2 in.; tractive force 70,800 lb; boiler, bed and running gear, cabs and accessories, and tender described; counterbalance.
