"Ohio," new type of oil tank ship built by Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock Co, for Texas Co, follows general design of tanker, but has pronounced rake of bow and cruiser stern, and streamlined effect of hull and superstructure; length oa 513 ft 10-in.; breadth molded 68 ft; depth molded 36 ft; propelled by Westinghouse high speed, cross compound, double reduction turbine, designed for max of 10,000 shp, but planned for normal operation of 9000 shp at 90 rpm.
