Customary practice in Pacific Coast States is to provide storage terminals at strategic coastal points, to which large quantities of gasoline may be delivered by tanker and from which withdrawal may be made for delivery to local bulk plants by truck or rail; paper discusses plan to serve group of service stations in locality through large transport trucks operated by common carrier drawing gasoline from refinery storage; analysis of comparative costs.
