Account of salvage operations carried out by Liverpool and Glasgow Salvage Assn; assistance received from Naval Deep Sea Divers of HM Diving Ship "Tedworth"; submarine was sunk in position 348°, 15 mi from Great Orme's Head Light, in depth of 25 fathoms at low water spring tides; average tidal range 22 ft with surface velocity reaching 4 knots.
