Remote control of main turbines and centralized supervision of cargo handling operations are features of 91,000-ton dw tanker built at Belfast yard for Texaco of New York; length oa 854 ft 6 in., breadth molded 125 ft, depth molded 63 ft, draft 47 ft; cargo tanks with capacity of approximately 4,000,000 cu ft (710,500 bbl) are arranged to allow simultaneous carriage of up to four different grades of oil; Pametrada Standard Frame type PSF/D/M3 turbines constructed by shipbuilder develop 24,000 shp at 106 rpm in normal service to allow speed of 16.5 knots, and have full load rating of 27,500 shp at 110 rpm.
