Measurements of gust structure and gust intensity were made in lower levels of atmosphere (0 to 3500 ft); Aeronca C-2 airplane was used as measuring instrument, gust structure being derived from recorded motions of airplane; data also obtained on wind velocities and temperatures as functions of altitude for use in attempting to correlate gust-structure data with various meteorological quantities.
