Progress report on work done at Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station; machine constructed in 1943 was built on Ford tractor and suction provided by Rembert type cotton suction fan driven from tractor belt pully; 1944 nut picker was built upon automobile chassis in which extra transmission was installed so that ground speeds of less than 1 mi per hr were easily obtained; fan driven by automobile engine through 4 C-section V belts.
