Theory of cylinder cooling developed previously was further substantiated by data obtained on cylinder from Wright R-1820-G engine; equations presented for average head and barrel temperatures of this cylinder as functions of engine and cooling conditions; these equations are utilized to calculate variation in cylinder temperature with altitude for level flight and climb.
