Controllable wing principle, neglected for many years, has been adapted to modern type of plane; unit being flight tested consists of Skycar built by Stout Research Div of Consolidated, embodying controllable wing developed by G. SPRATT; new method of control utilizes principle that wing may be moved relative to airplane around two pivots in such manner as to give control without separate surfaces being used.
