Editorial review of article distributed by Westinghouse Editorial Service, Westinghouse Elec Corp, in which author states that, for very large airplanes, higher system voltage than present 27-v direct current is essential; all-electric airplanes are claimed to be much less vulnerable to combat damage than hydraulically equipped airplanes; one obstacle to a-c motors has not been overcome, namely, question of constant speed drive for alternator.
