Lighthouse tenders Narcissus and Zinia were built by Mathis Shipbuilding Co, Camden, NJ, while Maple was constructed by Marine Iron and Shipbuilding Co, Duluth, Minn; length oa 122 ft; beam 27 ft; draft 6 ft 6 in.; propelled by two sets of 5-cyl Superior Diesel engines, each developing 200 bhp at 600 rpm and driving propeller through Farrel-Birmingham reduction gearing.
