Kronprins Frederik built at United Shipping Co's Helsinger yard for Harwich-Esbjerg Service; refrigerated cargo holds with necessary refrigerating plant are provided to carry dairy produce from Denmark to England; length oa 373 ft; beam 49 ft 9 in.; draft loaded 18 ft 6 in.; propelled by two Burmeister and Wain 10-cyl, 2-stroke, trunk piston engines with 500 mm bore and 900 mm stroke, developing 7100 bhp; vessel designed for speed of 21 1/2 knots.
