Motor ship "Vipya" was constructed by A. and J. Inglis, Glasgow, Scotland, taken to pieces, and shipped to Nyasaland, for re-erection; length bp 140 ft; breadth molded 27 ft; depth molded 10 ft; propelled by two Petters super-scavenge, 2-stroke engines with cylinder diam of 8 1/2 in., and stroke of 13 in., each developing 300 bhp at 500 rpm.
