Satisfactory equipping and functioning of any machinery space depends largely upon foresight exercised in arranging various items of machinery concerned, both in relation to each other and to surrounding structure; suggestions for proper design and arrangement of pumps, feed system, lubricating system, oil fuel system, and auxiliary steam and exhaust system.
