Crane ship designed by Admiralty Merchant Shipbldg Dept, and built by William Gray and Co; length 312 ft: breadth molded 46 ft 4 in.; propelled by triple-expansion engine with cylinders 20, 31 and 55 in. in diam, piston stroke being 39 in.; superheated steam is supplied at pressure of 200 lb per sq in. by two cylindrical boilers, burning oil fuel under forced draft conditions; cargo handling appliances described.
