Vessel is generally similar to telegraph cable ship Bullfinch described in May 1941 issue of same journal, indexed in Engineering Index 1941 p 1152; built at Neptune yard of Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson; length extreme 252 ft; breadth molded 36 ft 3 in.; depth molded to shelter deck 24 ft 4 in.; propelling machinery of 1250 ihp, comprises two triple expansion reciprocating steam engines, cylinder diameters being 13, 22 and 36 in., and stroke 24 in.; steam supplied at pressure of 200 lb per sq in., and rotary speed at full power is 135 rpm.
