Two test installations on Hudson and Manhattan, which connects two terminals on Manhattan Island with Hoboken, Jersey City and Newark, NJ; capacity of air conditioning system is seven tons; compressor-condenser unit is mounted under car, and cooling unit is over one vestibule; cooled air is distributed through ducts on each side of car's clerestory or by ceiling diffusers.
