Discussion on experiment in which aerodynamic noise data at high Reynolds numbers obtained in supersonic speed range with aid of launch vehicle were telemetered from vehicle to ground recording station; results indicate shift in spectrum shape as function of Mach number, with higher frequencies corresponding to higher Mach numbers; it was also found that surface-pressure coefficients at supersonic Mach numbers do not vary markedly from those at subsonic Mach numbers for comparable flow conditions; study applicable to supersonic transport and launch vehicles.
