Results of emergency road service data analysis from American Automobile Assn show that there is cold starting problem and that it is not confined to extreme northern areas; it becomes apparent whenever temperature nears freezing point, and is experienced to some extent by motorists in almost all states; major portion of trouble can be eliminated if 2 simple maintenance recommendations are followed -- to sell replacement batteries with performance equal to that of original equipment model, and to follow engine oil viscosity recommendations of vehicle manufacturer.
