Italian concern C.R.M. (Construzione Revisione Motori) offers 12 D/A and 12 D/S engines; both units are 12-cyl 4-stroke V-form engines, of 150 mm bore and 180 mm stroke; naturally aspirated 12 D/A develops service power of 500 bhp at 1800 rpm and turbocharged 12 D/S 675 bhp at 1800 rpm; use of special aluminum alloys and alloy steels has allowed dry weight of unblown engine to be kept down to 2540 lb and turbo-charged unit to 2760 lb; weight of reverse gear, generator and starter, in each case, is 940 lb and reduction gear 330 lb.
