Information on conversion of Malta Drydocks from naval to competitive commercial work, with Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson Ltd as managing agents; development work is three quarters completed with No. 4 drydock now extended to take tankers of up to about 90,000 tons dw; main items in reconstruction program include increasing size of two of yard's five docks, lengthening fitting-out quay, dredging, constructing new access roads and improving craneage facilities.
