Belted bias ply tires have apparently won auto manufacturers' confidence, above radial ply tires, and will be standard equipment on majority of 1970 passenger car models, if there are enough molds to make quantities needed; advantages and disadvantages of fiber glass and rayon for belts, and of polyester, rayon, and nylon for body ply cords.
