Studies were made of cavitation performance and open-water chracteristics of controllable-pitch supercavitating propeller with two, three, and four blades; it was found that in varying number of blades and pitch ratios, performance followed trends of conventional propeller designs; by means of several numerical examples, feasibility of using controllable-pitch supercavitating propeller is demonstrated; practical application to hydrofoil configuration is also presented.
