When spacecraft is moving rapidly in space, phenomena occur which are due to mutual interaction between spacecraft and its surrounding medium; there are following phenomena involved -- Group 1 includes phenomena and effects on body itself, i.e., electric charge acquired by spacecraft due to accretion of surrounding charged particles; Group 2 includes phenomena and effects on spaceplasma in vicinity of spacecraft, e.g., creation of wake behind body, and creation of shock fronts and zones of enhanced density ahead of spacecraft; spacecraft is then surrounded by "region of disturbance"; tabulation of some space plasma properties and details of satellites from which spaceplasma measurements have been made.
