Detroit Regional Transportation and Land Use Study, known as TALUS, began in 1965; purpose of study is development of plan to guide growth and development of seven-county Southeast Michigan Metropolitan Region through 1990; recommendations to be made for highway and public transportation facilities, airports, harbors and railroads, sewer and water facilities will be based on land use plan dealing with residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and recreational uses of land throughout region; scope of planning activities.
