Discussion considers ship type, handling and timber terminals, on international basis, and includes references to studies and recommendations of Timber Research and Development Assn (TRADA); type of ship considered by TRADA would be similar to container ships at present operating to Continent and would carry about 130 containers each holding 4-1/4 standards of timber; "container" is defined as unit load of timber; in economic studies total system cost has covered stevedoring and port charges in producing countries, shipping costs, shore handling costs in receiving country, etc. (30605)
