Simple technique presented for correcting singularities predicted by this theory at subsonic edges; thus, M.J.LIGHTHILL's rule for speeds on round nosed airfoils in incompressible flow is extended to higher approximations, compressible flow, 3-dimensional wings, sharp edges, and slender bodies of revolution.
