Use of helicopter lift in lieu of conventional barge transport to move 30,000 tons of construction equipment and materials to build 2 pools on Avell Island, Que, reduced transport costs and increased maximum payload per day; multiple slings for nonstop loadings were prefabricated, and loads were made up in advance and positioned on specially-devised frame on top of truck; converted bomber release, controlled from cabin, enabled pilot to release loads instantaneously at site.
